Mini Servo (EMAX 9g ES08A Servo)
It is an entry-level servo for beginners who like to enjoy in servo controlling and the Grove Mini Servo includes a full set of common shafts, which are great for small mechatronic projects. For complete specification, please check the official product page of this component.
Installation
Connect the ground wire (brown) and the power wire (red) to the ground pin and the 5V pin, respectively.
Connect the signal wire (yellow) to the D10 pin of the LinkIt 7697 HDK.
Note
When using a servo (or servos), it is suggested to use additional power sources, other than the 5V pin on the HDK, for powering the servo(s). Because servos tend to consume more currents, by separating the power sources between servos and the HDK, it helps MT7697 SoC work properly with a stable power supply.
Execution
Select the Files / Example / Servo / Sweep menu to open the example.
Click the Upload icon to compile and upload the sketch to the board.
You'll see the servo start to rotate after the sketch starts the execution.
